How do we feel about this coffee
It feels soft, buttery, and delicate, like stewed anjou pears, red fuji apples with sprinkles of brown sugar and caramel, and well-brewed oolong tea in a recliner with a good book.
Coffee Story
Yonal Fernández and his wife, Imelda Villalobos, are the proud owners of Finca El Barejón, located in El Vencedor, Colasay. The 3.25ha farm is made up of three parcels (lots) of 100% Bourbon - El Limón (The Lime), El Laurel (The Laurel) and La Mandarina (The Mandarin). Coffees on the farm are hand-picked and sorted before undergoing a 24-hour dry fermentation in large tanks. The cherries are then pulped, washed and slowly dried over 15 days in solar driers. Looking to the future, Yonal plans to increase the number of varieties being grown on the Farm. This is the first year Detour is offering this coffee from Yonal and Imelda, and we are proud to support their efforts and growth.
