When will my coffee ship out?

All of our coffee is roasted to order
Monday through Friday and we are currently working on a 3 to 7 business day processing time from the day you place your order to when we fulfill your order. 

I received an email saying that my order has been fulfilled, but my tracking number hasn’t been updated

When you get an email letting you know your order has been fulfilled it means our team has already roasted, packed, and boxed up your order then slapped a shipping label on it. It may be waiting for a carrier to pick it up from the roastery. Don’t worry! Orders get picked up 5 days a week by all of our carriers, if it didn’t get picked up today it will be picked up the following business day.

I inputted the wrong address!

Please be sure to check the details of your shipment on your order confirmation email and reach out to as we are able to update your address before the roasting stage. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure your address is correct for shipping. Any orders shipped to an incorrect address will be at the customer's expense.

Emails? I didn’t receive any emails

We can help with that! Email us at with your name and order number and we will be happy to help you. But in the meantime, be sure to check your spam folder too.

Shipping carriers, Delivery Times, and Email Updates


We use the FedEx Standard Overnight service for the majority of our cross-Canada orders. You can expect your order to arrive in 1-2 business days from when we fulfill your order. You will also receive email updates throughout the process including when we fulfill your order, when it is out for delivery, and when it is expected to be delivered.

There are some cases where FedEx Ground service must be used, in which case you can expect delivery 2-5 business days after fulfillment. In the case that FedEx can't be used for your location, it may go with Canada Post.

Metroland Parcel Service

We use the Express service from Metroland for the majority of orders being delivered within Ontario. You should expect your order to arrive 1-2 days (excluding Sunday and Holidays) from when we fulfill your order. They have also expanded service to some of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island and should arrive within  3-7 business days (excluding Sunday and Holidays) You will receive an email update once we have fulfilled your order with tracking and order information. Your tracking number will receive updates along the way including it’s arrival at the shipping hub, when it is out for delivery, and when it is delivered to your door(with a picture of the delivery location included). If your tracking email lists the carrier as "Other" it has shipped with Metroland.

Canada Post

We use the Expedited Parcel service from Canada Post to deliver to PO boxes, locations further from our warehouse, or rural communities. The delivery times for Canada Post can vary based on your address and seasonal parcel volume, however most orders can be expected in 3-7 business days after we fulfill your order. All orders sent with Canada Post will have a tracking number you can use to get updates on your delivery.

Please note that Detour can change your shipping method at our discretion to provide you with the best service to deliver your package. All tracking information are expected delivery dates and we are not responsible for delays in shipping.

IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTE: While we do our best to ensure timely order fulfilment, we have no control over shipping once orders leave the roastery. External factors and logistical issues with our delivery carriers may affect the arrival time of parcels.

Pick Up At Our Roastery!

We're happy to offer pick ups at our roastery located in Hamilton at 99 Clinton Street. Our pick up window is on Fridays between 11am and 3pm.

Please place your order before 12 pm on Wednesday so we can prepare your order for pick up for Friday, you will receive an email letting you know it's ready to be picked up that week. At this time, we cannot accommodate subscriptions for pick up.
