Punch Buggy Instant Coffee

This is some of the best instant coffee I've had. I love making specialty coffee: pourovers, espresso, lattes, and whatever I'm in the mood for that day. However on some days you wake up exhausted and you just want some high quality coffee with minimal effort. It is for this reason that I like to always have a couple sachets of Detour's instant coffee around. Compared with brewing Punch Buggy directly as a pourover, I do find you lose a bit of aroma and acidity that you would normally find in the cup. However this instant captures everything else about the roast beautifully, which is incredible compared to your usual Nespresso instant fare. I'm not sure what wizardry they use behind the scenes, but this is great stuff! My only gripe is it's a bit expensive for 6 servings, but I also understand that there is a convenience tax on items like this. Keep up the great work Detour!

I work a lot of night shifts at the hospital and having instant coffee available is a must. Usually I am desperately brewing whatever I can find in the staff room at 2am and it is almost always disappointing. This is the opposite. I can't believe they made an instant coffee taste this good - just like if I brewed it fresh at home. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the price point is wild. The quality is certainly worth that price, but it's just not sustainable for me to buy a tonne of these to have on hand. But what a brilliant cup of instant, amazing!
