How do we feel about this coffee
It feels like a fresh mandarin orange on the side of a big chocolate waffle breakfast, and a bowl of vanilla custard for dessert, watching the sunset overlooking the valley.
Coffee Story
Ratnagiri Estate is located in the southwestern part of India in the state of Karnataka, just outside the village of Athigiri and next to the 'coffee city' Chikkamagaluru. The farm is quite large at 120 acres, grows coffee between 1250 and 1450 MASL, and produces around seven containers (around 140,000 kilograms) each year.
In addition to the exceptional experimental anaerobic micro-lots produced at Ratnagiri, Mr. Patre also produces some more traditional washed process coffees each year. This specific Catuai lot is one of those. A traditional classic washed Indian lot.
