Coffee Story
Efrain Márquez and his family have cultivated coffee for generations. His grandfather and father dedicated their lives to coffee farming, which is the main crop in their region and their primary source of income. Efrain started helping his father at the age of ten and, in 2011, inherited a three-hectare plot of land.

As a third-generation coffee grower, Efrain is proud to continue this family tradition. Coffee farming is not only a legacy for them but also essential for their livelihood. His recent success in selling specialty coffee motivates him to enhance product quality, enabling him to offer better prices and support his family.

For this specific Paraninema lot, the cherries are picked at peak ripeness, undergo 60 hours of anaerobic fermentation in sealed bags, are de-pulped, then fermented dry for an additional 36 hours, and finally dried on African beds for 25 to 30 days under controlled sunlight.
