It feels like a fresh summer basket of yellow plums and sweet figs and sitting in your favourite weekend brunch diner booth drinking a deluxe version of bottomless diner coffee.
Coffee Story
Nestled in the Muniz Friere subregion in the beautiful Espírito Santo in Brazil, Fazenda Rio Norte is run by Aguinaldo da Silva Lopes and his wife, Leidinane Bastos. Their picturesque small but mighty farm of 7 hectares sits at 1050 MASL and is split between Red Catuai and Yellow Catucai. In his words, Aguinaldo became a coffee farmer four years ago by "opportunity." He lives on the farm with Leidinane, and both are involved in every aspect of the production: fertilizing, farm maintenance, harvest, processing and drying. Aguinaldo and his wife do everything! They do not hire full-time or part-time labourers to work during or outside of the harvest… quite a feat for having 10,000 trees! This specific lot is a 100% naturally processed Red Cataui.
